Mark Frost

Mark is one of the most recognisable figures in UK transport planning. Mark cut his teeth at the London Borough of Hounslow where he worked for more than 15 years, ascending through the ranks to hold several senior positions including Assistant Director of Transport, Parking & Environmental Strategy, before making a seamless transition to consultancy. His extensive experience in local government has equipped him with expertise in sustainable transport planning, highways management, environmental strategy, and urban development.


Mark has participated in numerous expert panels at international, national, and regional levels, including chairing the Heathrow Strategic Planning Group's Transport Panel, the London Technical Advisors Group (LoTAG), and the POLIS Environment & Health Working Group. He has also served on the NICE Walking & Cycling Guidance PDG and contributed to various London transport initiatives.


Mark is a Director at Fern Consulting Services Ltd., Policy Director at the Transport Planning Society - an organisation for which he was previously Chair - and a Trustee of the Foundation for Integrated Transport. He holds an MSc in Transport & Sustainable Development from Imperial College London and a BA (Hons) in Geography, Business & Environment from the University of Nottingham. Mark is a Chartered Transport Planning Professional (CTPP) and a member of the Transport Planning Society (MTPS).
