Robin Tyne

Robin is a sustainable transport researcher and consultant based in Glasgow, Scotland. He has worked across shared transport, mobility hubs and sustainable mobility strategy, with experience spanning research, policy development and project delivery.

Robin’s recent work includes writing a literature review for the South East of Scotland Regional Transport Partnership’s Transport to Health strategy, alongside developing a stakeholder engagement plan that SEStran is implementing in 2025/26. He previously worked for CoMoUK, the national charity for shared transport, where he delivered projects supporting a range of shared transport modes, including car clubs (car sharing), shared micromobility and digital demand responsive transport (DDRT). At CoMoUK, Robin specialised in mobility hubs policy and development. A key achievement was creating and co-delivering CoMoUK’s Pop-up Mobility Hubs project, which was shortlisted for a 2025 Scottish Transport Award. He also supported the first CoMoUK-accredited community mobility hub in Maybole, South Ayrshire. Robin was part of CoMoUK’s consultancy team, helping clients in the public and private sectors to improve their shared transport and mobility hub offerings.

In addition to subject matter expertise in shared transport and mobility hubs, Robin is passionate about transport research, strategy and policy development. He enjoys mixing qualitative and quantitative insights, having recently honed his GIS skills by taking a GIS course for urban practitioners.

Prior to working in sustainable transport, Robin worked for several years in policy and public affairs for a London borough and in the House of Commons, giving him insight into decision-making processes at different levels of government. He holds an MSc in Earth Futures Research, a geography-based degree, from the University of Glasgow.
