Stuart Clapham

Stuart combines expertise in sustainable urban and electric mobility with 12 years of experience in the development and management of strategic projects in the transport and international development sectors. He has an outcomes-focused approach and is driven by a mission to inform real-world change.


Stuart served as Associate at a leading boutique transport consultancy, in London, where he co-ordinated the successful delivery of international transport projects on behalf of the World Bank, GIZ, and the Asian Development Bank. His work has taken him all over the world, including to Colombia, Georgia, Kazakhstan, Mexico, Mongolia, Mozambique, and Republic of Korea.


Stuart previously held positions at Lewisham Council as Senior Programme Manager for the Bakerloo Line Extension, and at Transport for London as a City Planner. His international development experience includes roles with the Foreign and Commonwealth Office in Colombia and business development positions with global NGOs including Malaria Consortium and Save the Children UK, where he successfully secured over $120 million in funding.


Stuart holds a Master's Degree in Transport and City Planning from UCL, where he graduated with Distinction and was awarded the year prize for achievement. He also earned a First Class (Hons) BSc in Politics with Economics from the University of Bath. Stuart is proficient in both English and Spanish, making him well-equipped for international projects, particularly in Latin America.
