Subhash Chandra Vashishth

Subhash Chandra Vashishth is a leading Inclusive and Accessible Transportation Specialist with over two decades of cross-sectoral experience in promoting universal accessibility across transport systems, infrastructure, and public services based out of New Delhi, India. With a background in law and a strong grounding in accessibility standards, policy, and advocacy, he works at the intersection of disability rights, inclusive design, and mobility justice.


Subhash has significantly contributed to advancing accessible transportation policies and practices in India and internationally. He has served as a member of the prestigious AME50 Committee on Accessible Transportation and Mobility of the Transportation Research Board (TRB), USA, where he collaborated with global experts on research and policy development in inclusive transport systems. His expertise includes accessibility audits of transit infrastructure, training transport authorities and planners, advising on inclusive last-mile connectivity, and supporting governments in implementing the UN Convention on the Rights of Persons with Disabilities (UNCRPD) and Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs). He is frequently invited by institutions such as the National CPWD Academy, the National Institute for Training on Standardization (BIS), and the Delhi Judicial Academy as a faculty and resource person on accessibility, disability rights, and inclusive mobility.


Subhash also leads initiatives through the CABE Foundation to build capacity and develop tools for universal access across built environments and transportation networks.
